Let's Celebrate Lunar New Year!

2024 is the year of the Dragon. Ring in the Lunar New Year with fun festivities, delectable delights and of course with some new characters that are making their debut at Disney California Adventure. Lunar New Year will be celebrated at the Disneyland Resort from January 23, 2024 through February 18, 2024.

Characters

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their Lunar New Year inspired attire. Mulan is also making her appearance and it wouldn’t be the year of the dragon without everyone’s favorite dragon Mushu. It doesn’t stop there, for the first time in forever characters from Turning Red, Meilin Lee and her mom Ming Lee are making their debut on San Francisco Street! Another modern favorite that will be out for a meet and greet is Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon.

Sip and Savor

Enjoy Asian- inspired delicacies that are prepared with a Disney twist! There are different dishes that range from Chinese to Vietnamese to Korean. The Sip and Savor pass is the perfect way to sample your way through this flavorful celebration. The pass includes six “coupons” that can be redeemed for select food items and non alcoholic beverages. This year the sip and savor pass is actually barcode based, you don’t have to rip off vouchers like previous years. Now the cast member will just scan your pass and you’ll enter your 4 digit code that is on your pass. Sip and Savor passes can be purchased at Sip and Savor Cart, Elias & Co, Julius Katz & Sons, Rushin’ Outfitters, Seaside Souvenirs and Festival Merchandise for $46. The sip and savor pass is valid during the length of the Lunar New Year Celebration, so feel free to use it over multiple visits.
