It’s the most wonderful time of the year to snack your way through Walt Disney World! The best part of these snacks is that you will not need a ticket to the almost sold out Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to enjoy all of the festive snacks available through Christmas!
Magic Kingdom
You don’t need a Christmas Party ticket to enjoy some of the decadent holiday treats located at Magic Kingdom. Golden Oak Outpost once again is knocking our socks off with their holiday offerings. The Fried Pork Tamale is served “Christmas Style” with red and green chile sauces + queso and is available through New Years Eve, but it don't stop there! They also have a refreshing and sweet Chai Caramel Freeze! Another savory but also sweet option available is at Casey’s Corner. The Holiday Dinner Dog is a beef hot dog topped with cranberry mustard, a savory stuffing funnel cake and cheese curds. While this maybe for our more adventurous travelers - Casey’s Corner rarely disappoints us! Pecos Bills is another sweet meets savory choice but it's a dessert! The Texas Sized Sweet Potato Pie is a baked sweet potato pie with marshmallow meringue and candied pecans. Normally when we think of something being “Texas sized”, we think it'll be a larger than life portion, but this unfortunately was not, this treat is also not served warm.
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios not only has arguably some of the best holiday season decorations in the park, but they also have some DELICIOUS snacks that will get you in the holiday spirit. Shrink down to toy size and head over to Woody’s Lunch Box for a Hot Chocolate Lunch Box Tarte. This chocolate fudge filled pastry is topped with a hot chocolate marshmallow fondant and mini marshmallows is a great alternative to a piping hot cup of hot chocolate in Florida's rather warm holiday season. Then take a break to refuel your caffeine levels at the Trolley Car Cafe by checking out their fun & exciting holiday surprises. Not only is this the park's Starbucks location, hello, holiday drinks they also have lots of fun Holiday treats. The Red Velvet Whoopie Pie is always a crowd pleaser, especially since its shareable with two giant red velvet cake cookies with candy cane buttercream icing sandwiched between them, garnished with holiday sprinkles.
Animal Kingdom
Isle of Java is getting in the holiday spirit and gearing up for some cold days ahead with plenty of customized hot chocolate options. Guests can choose from a S’mores Hot Cocoa, Sea Salt Caramel Hot Cocoa and Peppermint Hot Cocoa…now making that decision may be the most difficult of the day because they’re all amazing! Animal Kingdom is gearing up to welcome some fancy new treats during the month of December. Starting December 1st, Flame Tree Barbaque, Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus will have Menagerie Cupcakes which are a gingerbread cake with cream cheese filling and a decadent vanilla frosting on top with some adorable animal themed enhancements to fit the holiday theme. For guests traveling during the week of Christmas, there will be some additional treats like a Peppermint Cream Cheese Mousse with peppermint sauce at Satu’li Canteen and Tiffins will have a Horchatta Mousse with a gingerbread cookie, pecan praline crumble, coffee ice cream and a bourbon caramel sauce.
Disney Springs
The holiday season is the perfect time of the year to take a down day from the parks. Disney Springs not only has plenty of beautiful Christmas trees all of which are Disney themed, but they have an endless amount of holiday treats to choose from! Swirls on the Water has brought a new twist on nachos with Peppermint Chocolate Bark Soft Serve Nachos. We know nachos and ice cream don’t exactly sound like your ordinary combination but these “chips” are waffle cones topped with peppermint and chocolate soft serve ice cream and loaded up with M&M candies, whipped cream and chocolate candies.
Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar (Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar) is one of the Castle Bound Travel Experts favorite stops in Disney Springs and they sure know how to fulfill all of our holiday dreams! November 11th through December 28th, guests can enjoy an exclusive holiday menu that features Naughty or Nice Deviled Eggs topped with crispy ham with a sweet or spicy honey glaze and the Yule Mule with gin, ginger beer, cranberry juice, rosemary simple syrup and a holly leaf for garnish - a new holiday season staple! Don’t leave without satisfying your sweet tooth, the Holy Grail Flight has three different hot chocolates and the Post-Flight “Milk” and Cookies are sure to please everyone with assorted Christmas cookies and coquito.
