The Grand Opening of Pixar Place January 30, 2024

Welcome to the brand-new, rebranded, and remodeled Pixar Place Hotel, formerly known as Paradise Pier. Pixar Place is located just steps away from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. This location offers the ultimate convenience when it comes to taking advantage of the Disneyland Resort guest-exclusive early park entry. This newly rethemed resort is inspired by playful Pixar elements and is the first-ever fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. Guests aren’t only within walking distance of the parks, but they also have direct access to California Adventure! Sign me up!

From the moment that you walk into the lobby, guests will be immersed in the art of storytelling, making this the perfect way to kick off your very own story on your magical vacation. This brand-new hotel will embody the inspiration and humor that goes into each and every Pixar Film. You’ll see everything from early sketches from Pixar Films to finished designs and even some never-before-seen artwork. The lobby, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Pixar Ball and Lamp.

Rooms

These newly reimagined guest rooms are colorful and feature iconic Pixar characters. When choosing the right room for your next adventure, standard rooms can accommodate up to 5 adult guests and include either two queen-size beds and one daybed or one king-size bed and one queen-size sleeper sofa. Guests will have the opportunity to enhance their stay by choosing a premium view or even upgrading to Club Level, which grants them access to the resort's concierge services and lounge.

For larger travel parties, suites are also available. Standard one-bedroom suites can accommodate up to 6 adults with two queen-size beds and one queen-size sleeper sofa, while 2-bedroom suites can sleep up to 10 adults with one king-size bed, two queen-size beds, and two queen-size sleeper sofas. There are even more luxurious options when it comes to suites. The largest room at Pixar Place is the Dana Point Signature Suite, available in 1, 2, and 3-bedroom models, with the 3-bedroom suite accommodating up to 13 adults. Additional Signature Suites include the Huntington Suite, the Laguna Suite, the Malibu Suite, and the Newport Suite, all of which are available in both one and two-bedroom options.

Dining

The recently opened table service restaurant, the Great Maple, features upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast features a wide variety of comfort food like Cajun Shrimp and Grits, Fried Chicken and Doughnuts, and Chilaquiles along with crowd-pleasing breakfast staples such as pancakes and French toast. Lunch and Dinner feature a diverse upscale menu with items such as pastas, steaks, seafood along with plenty of handheld sandwiches and salads. We were highly impressed by the vegan and vegetarian options that are also available.

Quick Service

The perfect stop before hitting the parks is the Sketch Pad Cafe, a Pixar themed quick service grab-and-go restaurant. They offer an impressive coffee and espresso selection along with pastries, yogurts, fruit, and even some heat-and-go options like Avocado Toast and a mini frittata. Swimming works up an appetite! Check out Small Bytes located near the Pixel Pool. Whether you just want some “Lyte Bites” like a salad, pretzel, chips, or some “Mega Bytes” like a burger, chicken fingers, or even some nachos, there's something for everyone without even having to leave the pool area! Adults who need a “hard reboot” can partake in a full bar, along with floats and sodas.

Pools

Pixar Place is home to the brand-new and beautiful Pixel Pool, located on the 3rd floor of the resort. This is the perfect place to relax, soak up the sun, and get a tan. More adventurous travelers will enjoy the newly reimagined 186-foot-long water slide, Crush’s Surfin’ Slide. Pixar Place is now the perfect place for little ones to make a splash in the brand new Nemo’s Cove water play area. The pool deck is also an ideal spot to unwind after a long day in the park. There is a whirlpool spa, and this is a prime viewing location for the Disneyland Fireworks on select nights. You can even hear the soundtrack on the pool deck. Guests of the resort will be issued wristbands at the pool concierge, which they must wear at all times to enter the pool deck. Complimentary towels and life jackets are available at the pool.

Fun for the Whole Family

Young travelers can sit back and relax in cozy beach chairs and watch a classic Disney film in the Pixar Theater, specially designed for kids! This is something that can be enjoyed several times during your stay with the ever-changing rotation of films.
